Now is your chance to inform policy at the national, state and local level.

The National Rural Health Task Force, a joint task force between the National Rural Health Association (NRHA) and the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) that was established in 2007 to “discuss rural issues, communication strategies, and build partnerships to promote the long-term growth and sustainability of rural community and migrant health centers” through a cooperative agreement with HRSA’s Federal Office of Rural Health Policy is putting together a compendium of best practices/ models and needs.

NRHA is accepting submissions of best practices from community health centers to be included in this year’s Compendium of Rural Best Practices/ Models.  The last compendium titled “Innovations to Strengthen Rural Health Care:Technology, Training and Workforce Development” was developed as a dynamic, “living” document, designed for ongoing use and modification by various entities.  The information included has proven helpful as Congress and HRSA look at what programs are working and how to build on them.

Best practices received from NRHA and NACHC members will be incorporated in this year’s compendium and be used to better inform policy at HRSA so please take a moment to fill out this template and return it to Derek Dye at dye@NRHArural.org by Friday, Sept 28, 2012.
